In Starfield, you can sell Survey Data at three main locations:
- Vladimir Sall on The Eye : This is the easiest and most profitable place to sell Survey Data. The Eye is a space station orbiting Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system. When you dock there, talk to Vladimir and select the option "I've got some Survey Data for you" to open the selling menu. Vladimir offers the highest prices for any survey data, regardless of planet type
- Phil Hill in Cydonia on Mars : Phil Hill buys Survey Data but only for habitable planets-those with temperate temperature, high oxygen, moderate magnetosphere, safe water, and moderate fauna and flora. He offers better prices than the Trade Authority but less than Vladimir
- Trade Authority Kiosks : These are found in major spaceports and cities like New Atlantis (Jemison), Cydonia (Mars), Neon, Akila City, and the Den. They buy Survey Data but at lower prices compared to Vladimir or Phil Hill. This option is convenient if you are not near the other two buyers
To sell Survey Data, you must first complete scanning 100% of a planet's flora, fauna, resources, and geographical features. Once fully surveyed, the data appears in your inventory's miscellaneous or notes section, ready to be sold
. In summary, for the best profit, sell your Survey Data to Vladimir on The Eye. If you have data from habitable planets, Phil Hill on Mars is a good alternative. Otherwise, use Trade Authority Kiosks for convenience but expect lower payouts
