To sell a ship in Starfield, follow these steps:
- Go to a Ship Services Technician vendor found at any major settlements or spaceports.
- Talk to the Ship Services Technician and select the option to see what ships are available for sale.
- Switch from the Buy menu to the Sell menu (usually a button at the bottom right).
- Select the ship you want to sell from your inventory of ships.
- Confirm the sale in the popup that shows how many Credits you will receive.
Important notes:
- You must have more than one ship to sell; you cannot sell your Home Ship.
- If the ship is stolen or captured, you need to register it first by paying a registration fee before selling.
- You can change your Home Ship by selecting a different ship as your Home Ship in the Ship Services Technician menu if you want to sell your previous Home Ship.
- The vendor needs to have enough Credits to buy your ship at the full value; otherwise, you may make a loss on selling.
This process is available in major spaceports like New Atlantis and other key locations with a Ship Services Technician available.
