To color your entire ship at once in Starfield, follow these steps:
- Visit any Ship Technician or use a shipbuilder at a large landing pad or outpost.
- Select the option to view and modify your ships.
- Enter the shipbuilder mode by pressing the indicated button (B on keyboard or X on controller).
- Hover over any part of your ship and double-click on PC or double-tap the right bumper (RB) on a controller. This will select the entire ship, highlighting all parts.
- Press the color button (J on keyboard or left stick click on controller) to open the color wheel.
- Choose your desired color and adjust hue, brightness, and saturation as you like. You can change the main color and two accent colors for the whole ship at once.
- Confirm your selection to apply the color to the entire ship.
If you want to customize specific parts individually, you can select those parts separately and adjust their colors similarly. However, Starfield does not support coloring one half of the ship differently from the other without manually changing each piece
. This method allows you to quickly and easily give your whole ship a new look without having to paint each part one by one.
