Secure Boot is a security feature in modern PCs that ensures only trusted software can boot on your system. It prevents malicious software and cheats from running before the operating system starts. For Battlefield 6, Secure Boot is mandatory because EA uses it as part of their anti-cheat measures to provide a fair gaming experience. If Battlefield 6 shows a Secure Boot error, it means Secure Boot is not enabled on your PC. To enable Secure Boot for Battlefield 6:
- Enter your PC's BIOS/UEFI settings by restarting and pressing a key (usually F2, DEL, ESC, or F10).
- Set Boot Mode to UEFI (not Legacy or CSM).
- Enable Secure Boot in the BIOS/UEFI settings (under Security, Boot, or Authentication tab).
- Ensure your system drive is using GPT (GUID Partition Table) format, not MBR (Master Boot Record). You can convert MBR to GPT if needed using Windows tools.
- Save changes and reboot your PC.
After enabling Secure Boot, Battlefield 6 should launch without Secure Boot errors. If issues persist, ensure BIOS mode is UEFI, and Secure Boot state is On by checking system information via msinfo32 on Windows. If problems continue, consult your motherboard manufacturer's support.
