Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith was re-released in theaters starting April 25, 2025, to celebrate its 20th anniversary. The film ran for one week only in select U.S. theaters and international territories, including AMC, Alamo Drafthouse, Cinemark, Regal Showcase, and others. It was available in several formats, including for the first time in 4DX with synchronized motion chairs and effects. The re-release allowed fans to experience the movie on the big screen once again, generating significant box office revenue during the limited run.
