Iryna Zarutska was stabbed multiple times, including at least once in the neck, during a fatal attack on a Charlotte light rail train. She was sitting on the train at the East/West Boulevard light rail station in Charlotte, North Carolina, when the assailant suddenly pulled a pocket knife and stabbed her three times. After the stabbing, she collapsed to the floor and was pronounced dead at the scene.
