India's longest train route is the Vivek Express, running from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. It covers a distance of about 4,273 kilometers and takes approximately 82 hours and 30 minutes to complete the journey. The train travels through six states: Assam, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. It was inaugurated in 2011 to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and connects the northeastern part of India to its southernmost tip, showcasing the country's vast geographical and cultural diversity. The train stops at more than 56 stations along the route.
