To turn off an iPhone XR, you have several methods:
- Using buttons: Press and hold the Side button along with either the Volume Up or Volume Down button simultaneously for about 3 to 5 seconds until the "slide to power off" slider appears. Then, slide it to turn off your iPhone XR
- Using Settings: Go to Settings > General, then scroll down and tap "Shut Down." This will bring up the same "slide to power off" slider. Slide it to turn off the device
- Using Siri: If Siri is enabled, activate Siri by saying "Hey Siri" or by pressing and holding the Side button, then say "Power off" or "Switch off my iPhone." Confirm the action, and Siri will turn off your iPhone XR
To turn the iPhone XR back on, press and hold the Side button until the Apple logo appears, then release the button. Alternatively, connecting the iPhone to a charger will also power it on if it is off
