To transfer money from Cash App to your bank account, follow these steps:
- Link Your Bank Account
- Open Cash App and tap your profile icon (top right).
- Select "Linked Banks" and then "Link Bank."
- Follow the prompts to securely connect your bank account using Plaid authentication.
- Once linked, your bank will appear in the "Linked Banks" menu
- Initiate the Transfer
- From the Cash App home screen, tap the "Money" or "Banking" tab (usually a dollar sign icon).
- Under your Cash App balance, tap "Cash Out" or "Withdraw."
- Choose the Amount
- Adjust the slider or enter the amount you want to transfer to your bank account.
- Tap "Cash Out" or "Withdraw" to proceed
- Select Transfer Speed
- Choose between Standard Transfer (free, takes 1-3 business days) or Instant Transfer (arrives immediately but incurs a fee of 0.5% to 1.75% with a minimum of $0.25).
- Note: Instant transfers go to your linked debit card, while standard transfers go directly to your bank account
- Confirm and Complete
- Confirm your choice and enter your Cash App PIN if prompted.
- You will receive a confirmation showing when the money will arrive in your bank account
Additional Notes:
- You can only transfer money to a bank account linked to your Cash App. If you want to change the bank account, you need to update it in the app first
- Standard transfers are free but take a few days; instant transfers cost a small fee but are faster
This process allows you to easily move funds from your Cash App balance to your bank account for use outside the app
