To strike through text in Google Docs, you can use either the menu option or a keyboard shortcut: Using the menu:
- Highlight the text you want to strike through.
- Click on the "Format" menu at the top.
- Hover over "Text."
- Select "Strikethrough" from the submenu.
The selected text will then have a horizontal line through it
Using a keyboard shortcut:
- On Windows: Highlight the text and press Alt + Shift + 5.
- On Mac: Highlight the text and press Command (⌘) + Shift + X.
Pressing the shortcut again will remove the strikethrough
On mobile (Google Docs app):
- Highlight the text.
- Tap the "Format" icon (letter A).
- Tap the strikethrough icon (an "S" with a line through it).
The text will be struck through immediately
