To send your location through WhatsApp, follow these steps:
- Open WhatsApp and go to the chat with the person or group you want to share your location with.
- Tap the attachment icon (paperclip on Android or plus sign on iOS) in the chat window.
- Select "Location."
- You have two options:
- Send Current Location: This sends a static map with your current position.
- Share Live Location: This shares your real-time location for a selected duration (15 minutes, 1 hour, or 8 hours). You can also add a comment before sending.
- After choosing, tap the send button to share your location.
If you choose to share live location, you can stop sharing at any time by tapping "Stop sharing" in the chat
. Make sure WhatsApp has permission to access your device’s location in your phone settings to use this feature
