To take a screenshot, the method depends on your device type: On Windows (10 and 11):

  • Press PrtSc (Print Screen) to capture the entire screen to the clipboard.
  • Press Alt + PrtSc to capture the active window only.
  • Use Shift + Windows Key + S to open the Snipping Tool toolbar, where you can select rectangular, freeform, window, or full-screen snips. The captured image can then be annotated or saved

On macOS:

  • Press Shift + Command + 3 to capture the entire screen.
  • Press Shift + Command + 4 to capture a selected portion by dragging the crosshair.
  • Press Shift + Command + 4 , then Space bar, and click a window to capture that window.
Screenshots appear on the desktop and can be edited from the thumbnail preview

On Android devices:

  • Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons simultaneously for 1–2 seconds.
  • If that doesn't work, press and hold the Power button and tap "Screenshot" from the menu.
  • On Android 12 and later, you can capture scrolling screenshots by tapping "Capture more" after the initial screenshot

On iPhone (with Face ID):

  • Press the Side button and the Volume Up button at the same time.
  • The screenshot will be saved to Photos and a thumbnail appears for quick editing

Each platform also offers tools to annotate, crop, or share screenshots immediately after capture. For example, Windows Snipping Tool and iOS markup tools provide editing features right after taking a screenshot
