To screen record on an Android device (Android 11 or later), follow these steps:
- Open Quick Settings : Swipe down twice from the top of your screen to fully expand the Quick Settings panel.
- Tap Screen Recorder : Look for the "Screen Recorder" icon and tap it. If you don't see it, tap the pencil/edit icon to add it to your Quick Settings from the available options.
- Set recording options : You can choose to record audio (device audio, microphone, or both) and whether to show touches on the screen.
- Start recording : Tap "Start" to begin recording. There will be a countdown before the recording starts.
- Stop recording : When finished, swipe down from the top and tap the "Stop" button in the Screen Recorder notification or Quick Settings.
- View and edit : The recording will be saved in your Gallery or Google Photos under the Movies folder. You can view, edit (trim, crop, add annotations), and share the video from there.
This built-in screen recording feature is available on most Android devices running Android 11 or newer, including Samsung, Google Pixel, and others. For older devices, third-party apps may be needed
