To remove page breaks in Excel, you have several options depending on whether you want to delete individual page breaks or reset all of them:
Removing a Single Page Break
- For a horizontal page break , select the row immediately below the page break.
- For a vertical page break , select the column immediately to the right of the page break.
- Right-click the selected row or column, then choose Remove Page Break from the context menu.
- Alternatively, go to the Page Layout tab, in the Page Setup group, click Breaks , and then select Remove Page Break
Removing All Manual Page Breaks
- Go to the Page Layout tab.
- In the Page Setup group, click Breaks.
- Select Reset All Page Breaks to remove all manual page breaks at once.
- You can also right-click anywhere in the worksheet and select Reset All Page Breaks from the context menu.
- Keyboard shortcuts for these actions include:
- Remove a single page break: ALT + P + B + R
- Reset all page breaks: ALT + P + B + A
Additional Tips
- To clearly see and select page breaks, switch to Page Break Preview view by going to the View tab and clicking Page Break Preview.
- If you only want to hide the page break lines without deleting them, switch back to Normal view under the View tab. This hides the blue page break lines but keeps them active for printing
These methods work for both horizontal and vertical page breaks and help you manage how your Excel sheets print across pages.
