To make concrete in Minecraft, follow these steps:
Materials Needed
- 4 blocks of sand
- 4 blocks of gravel
- 1 dye of any color (this determines the color of the concrete)
Crafting Concrete Powder
- Open your crafting table.
- Place the 4 sand blocks, 4 gravel blocks, and 1 dye anywhere in the crafting grid (the order does not matter).
- This will yield 8 blocks of concrete powder colored according to the dye used
Turning Concrete Powder into Concrete
- Place the concrete powder blocks so they come into contact with water (such as in a river, ocean, or water source block).
- When concrete powder touches water, it instantly hardens into solid concrete blocks.
- You can also pour water over placed concrete powder to convert it.
- Concrete powder behaves like sand and gravel and will fall if unsupported, so it can fall into water and convert automatically
Harvesting Concrete
- Use a pickaxe to mine the solid concrete blocks.
- Efficiency enchantments or haste effects speed up mining
Tips for Making Large Amounts Quickly
- Build a platform over water and place concrete powder on it to convert many blocks at once.
- Use techniques like placing water under a dirt platform with concrete powder on top to convert large quantities efficiently
This process works in both Java and Bedrock editions of Minecraft and allows you to create vibrant, non-flammable building blocks in 16 different colors
