To make a Facebook post shareable, you need to adjust its audience or privacy settings to "Public," which allows anyone to see and share the post. Here is how you can do it:
How to Make a Facebook Post Shareable
For a new post:
- When creating a post, look for the audience selector below your name (it might say "Friends," "Only me," or another setting).
- Click or tap on it and select "Public."
- Finish your post and share it. Now anyone can view and share your post
For an existing post:
- Find the post you want to make shareable.
- Click or tap the three dots (ellipsis) in the upper right corner of the post.
- Select "Edit audience" or "Edit privacy."
- Change the audience setting to "Public."
- Click or tap "Done" or "Save" to confirm the change.
- Your post is now shareable by anyone on or off Facebook
Additional Notes
- Posts on Facebook Pages are automatically public and shareable by default
- Posts in public Facebook Groups are shareable, but posts in private groups can only be shared with other group members
- You can also set your default post audience to Public in your Facebook settings to make all future posts shareable without having to adjust each post individually
This process ensures your content can be shared broadly, increasing its visibility and reach on Facebook
