To hide an app on an iPhone running iOS 18 or later, you can follow these steps:
- On the Home Screen, find the app you want to hide.
- Touch and hold the app icon until a quick actions menu appears.
- Tap "Require Face ID" (or Touch ID or Passcode).
- Then tap "Hide and Require Face ID" (or equivalent).
- Authenticate using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode.
- Tap "Hide App."
The app icon will disappear from your Home Screen and will be moved to a Hidden folder in the App Library. To access hidden apps, swipe left past all your Home Screen pages to the App Library, scroll to the bottom, and open the Hidden folder. Authentication will be required to view and open apps in this folder. Apps hidden this way won't send notifications, calls, or alerts. If you want to unhide the app, go to the Hidden folder in the App Library, authenticate, touch and hold the app, then tap "Add to Home Screen" or "Unhide App." Note: This feature is mainly for third-party apps downloaded from the App Store and may not be available for some built-in Apple apps.
