To get weed stems in Grounded 2, there are two main ways:
- Chop down Dandelions: This is the easiest way and can be done early on with a Level 1 Omni-Axe. Dandelions can be found near the Ranger Outpost: Snackbar area and other locations close to your first base. Cutting the bottom of the dandelion plant will yield weed stems, which are used for building structures like the hatchery.
- Chop down Husky Weeds: These are more common and yield more weed stems but require a Level 2 Omni-Axe to cut. Getting the Level 2 axe requires progressing further in the game, collecting materials like blueberry leather and roach chunks.
Weed stems are large items in the game and need to be carried by hand to be brought back to your base or resource analyzer. You can also build a Stem Pallet to store weed stems conveniently near your base for construction use. In summary, if just starting out, focus on harvesting dandelions with a Level 1 axe; later, when upgraded, you can get more weed stems from husky weeds with a Level 2 axe.
