To get out of Big Picture Mode in Steam, you can follow these steps:
- Press the Escape (Esc) key on your keyboard to bring up the Big Picture menu.
- In the menu that appears, go to the Power option.
- Select Exit Big Picture Mode to return to the regular Steam desktop interface.
Alternatively, you can:
- Move your mouse cursor to the bottom left corner and click on the Steam menu.
- Choose Power and then click Exit Big Picture Mode.
If you want to prevent Steam from starting in Big Picture Mode automatically:
- Open the Steam client.
- Click on Steam in the top-left corner, then select Settings.
- Go to the Interface section.
- Uncheck the box labeled "Start Steam in Big Picture Mode".
- Click OK to save the changes.
If Big Picture Mode is triggered by your controller's Guide button and you want to disable that:
- In Steam settings, go to the Controller section.
- Disable the option "Guide button focuses on Steam".
- Restart Steam.
On Mac, you can also exit Big Picture Mode by pressing Option + Enter , and on Windows/Linux, Alt + Enter can toggle Big Picture Mode. These methods will help you exit and disable Big Picture Mode as needed
