To forget a Wi-Fi network on a Mac, follow these steps: For macOS Ventura or later:
- Click the Apple menu and select System Settings.
- Click Wi-Fi in the sidebar.
- Find the network you're currently using or that you want to forget, and click Details next to it.
- Click Forget This Network, then confirm by clicking Remove.
- To forget other known networks, scroll down, click Advanced, find the network, click the three dots next to it, and select Remove From List, then confirm by clicking Forget.
For earlier versions of macOS:
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar and choose Network Preferences or go to Apple menu > System Preferences > Network.
- Select Wi-Fi in the sidebar and click Advanced.
- In the Preferred Networks list, select the network you want to forget.
- Click the minus (-) sign below the list to remove it.
- Click OK, then Apply to save the changes.
This process removes the saved network so your Mac will no longer automatically connect to it.
