To fast travel to your ship in Starfield, you have several convenient options:
- Open the Surface Map while on a planet, where your ship will appear as a point of interest. You can either click on the ship icon or press the designated fast travel button (R on PC, Y on controller) to instantly fast travel to your ship
- Use your Scanner (press F on PC, LB on controller) to highlight your ship’s icon in the distance. Once highlighted, you can fast travel directly to your ship from the Scanner interface
- When on foot, activate your Scanner, look at the ship icon, and press Y to fast travel back to your ship
Important notes:
- You cannot fast travel to your ship if it is docked with a station or another ship; you must undock first
- Fast travel only works to locations or systems you have previously visited
- If you are overencumbered while on foot, you cannot fast travel, but you can still fast travel while in your ship
Using these methods allows quick return to your ship from planets or surface locations, saving travel time during exploration or missions.
