In Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2), there are two main ways to fast travel:
- Fast Travel from Camp:
- You need to unlock this by upgrading your gang's camp after Chapter 2's mission "Money Lending and Other Sins."
- First, upgrade Dutch's lodgings for $220.
- Then upgrade Arthur's tent with a map for $325.
- After that, you can access a fast travel map located on Arthur's wagon in camp, allowing you to fast travel to previously visited locations on horseback for free.
- You can also fast travel from temporary wilderness camps that you set up by resting and choosing fast travel from the camp menu.
- Public Transport:
- Use stagecoaches and trains available in towns.
- Purchase tickets at stagecoach stations or train stations to quickly travel between towns for a fee.
Additional tip: You can use the Auto-Ride cinematic camera feature to have your horse automatically ride along roads to waypoints, but this is not instant fast travel. The camp fast travel option unlocks after upgrading and costs about $545 total, but after that, fast travel from your camp is free. Stagecoaches and trains offer paid fast travel from towns and settlements.
