To delete an Instagram account, follow these steps:
- Log into your Instagram account.
- Go to "Settings" by tapping the three horizontal lines or the menu on your profile page.
- Navigate to "Accounts Center" > "Personal Details" > "Account Ownership and Control."
- Select "Deactivation or Deletion."
- Choose the profile you want to delete.
- Select "Delete Account" and tap "Continue."
- Instagram will ask for a reason for deleting the account; select one and continue.
- Re-enter your password to confirm the deletion.
- Finally, confirm by tapping "Delete Your Account."
Your account will be permanently deleted after 30 days, during which you can log back in to cancel deletion if you change your mind. Before deleting, it is advisable to download a copy of your data via "Download Your Information" in the Account Settings if you wish to keep your photos and videos.
