There are multiple simple ways to delete apps on an iPhone:
- From the Home Screen:
- Press and hold the app icon until a menu appears.
- Tap "Remove App."
- Then tap "Delete App" to delete the app completely from your iPhone.
- Alternatively, after holding the app icon, the icons may start to wiggle, and a small "x" appears on the app icon; tap the "x" to delete the app.
- Through iPhone Settings:
- Open Settings and go to General > iPhone Storage.
- Find and tap the app you want to delete from the list.
- Tap "Delete App" and confirm the deletion.
- From the App Library (iOS 14 and later):
- Swipe to the App Library (rightmost page of the Home Screen).
- Search for the app.
- Press and hold the app icon, choose "Delete App," and confirm.
Deleting an app removes it from the device but does not delete any accounts you may have with that app. You may also need to cancel subscriptions related to the app separately if needed. These methods apply broadly to recent iOS versions up to 2025.
