To create a group on Instagram, follow these steps depending on your device:
On Android or iPhone
- Open the Instagram app and log in.
- Tap the paper plane icon (Direct Messages) at the top-right corner.
- Tap the pencil icon or "New Message" button to start a new chat.
- Select two or more people by typing their usernames to add them to the group (up to 32 members on mobile).
- Tap "Create Group Chat" or "Create Chat."
- Optionally, name your group chat by tapping "Name this group" at the top.
- Tap "Create" or the checkmark icon to finalize the group.
- Start messaging your group
On Desktop (Instagram website)
- Log in to Instagram.com.
- Click the paper plane icon at the top-right to open Direct Messages.

- Optionally, enter a group name.
