To create a group text on an iPhone, follow these steps:
- Open the Messages app on your iPhone.
- Tap the compose icon (a pencil or new message icon) in the upper-right corner.
- In the "To:" field, type the names or phone numbers of the contacts you want to include in the group. You can add multiple recipients here.
- Once all recipients are added, type your message in the text field below.
- Tap the Send button to start the group conversation.
After creating the group text, you can customize it by adding a group name and image:
- Tap the group icons at the top of the conversation.
- Select Change Name and Photo.
- Enter a group name and choose an image by taking a photo, selecting one from your camera roll, using an emoji, or creating an icon with initials.
- Tap Done to save the changes. All members of the group will see the updated name and image
Note:
- To send group MMS messages, ensure MMS Messaging is enabled by going to Settings > Messages and turning on MMS Messaging.
- Group chats work best when all members use iMessage (blue bubbles). If some use SMS/MMS (green bubbles), some group features like naming the group may not be available
This process lets you easily communicate with multiple people at once on your iPhone.
