To change your voicemail greeting on an iPhone, follow these steps:
- Open the Phone app on your iPhone.
- Tap the Voicemail tab at the bottom right.
- Tap Greeting at the top left.
- Choose Custom to record a new greeting.
- Tap Record to start recording your custom voicemail message.
- When finished, tap Stop.
- Tap Play to listen to your recording.
- If satisfied, tap Save to set it as your voicemail greeting. You can also switch back to the default greeting by selecting Default and tapping Save
If you want to change your voicemail password:
- Go to Settings > Phone > Change Voicemail Password.
- Enter your old password, then enter and confirm your new password.
- If you forgot your voicemail password, you need to contact your wireless carrier to reset it
If the voicemail greeting option is not available in the Phone app, you can call your own phone number, then follow the prompts to change your voicemail greeting by recording a new message (often option 3 or 4)
. This process works with the iPhone's built-in voicemail feature and may vary if you use services like Google Voice, which have their own apps and settings for voicemail greetings
