To call someone without showing your caller ID ("No Caller ID"), you can use either of these methods depending on your phone type and situation:
- For a single outgoing call:
- Dial *67 before entering the area code and phone number you want to call. This will make your number appear as "Private" or "Blocked" on the receiver's phone for that call only.
- To block your caller ID for all outgoing calls on smartphones:
- On Android phones: Open the Phone app → Go to Settings → Supplementary services (or Calls) → Caller ID → Select "Hide number" or "Never".
- On iPhones: Go to Settings → Phone → Show My Caller ID → Turn it off.
- For landline phones, you can usually dial 1831 before the phone number to block caller ID for that call.
Note that some numbers like emergency services or toll-free numbers may not allow hiding caller ID. Also, some recipients may have settings to block unknown or private callers. These are the main ways to call on no caller ID.
