To buy books on a Kindle, you can purchase them through the Kindle device, or via a web browser on a computer or mobile device
. Buying on a Kindle Device:
- Ensure your Kindle is linked to your Amazon account by connecting to Wi-Fi and entering your account details
- Go to the Home screen, and access the Kindle Store to browse for books
- To find a specific book, tap the "Search Kindle" box and enter the title or author’s name
- Tap on the book to view details, price, description, and customer reviews
- Tap the "Buy for [$ Price]" or "Buy now with 1-click" button to purchase and download the book. The book will appear in your Kindle library
Buying on a Web Browser (Computer or Mobile):
- Open a web browser such as Chrome or Safari
- Go to the Amazon website and sign in to your Amazon account
- Go to the Kindle Store and search for the book by title or author
- Select the Kindle version of the book
- Tap the "Buy now with 1-click" button to complete the purchase. The eBook will automatically appear in your Kindle app library
Kindle books cannot be purchased through the Kindle app on Apple or Android devices
