Adult cats have 30 teeth in total. This includes 12 incisors (6 on the top and 6 on the bottom), 4 canine teeth (2 on top and 2 on the bottom), 10 premolars (6 on top and 4 on the bottom), and 4 molars (2 on top and 2 on the bottom)
. Kittens, on the other hand, have 26 baby (deciduous) teeth, which start to erupt at about 3 to 4 weeks of age and are replaced by adult teeth by around 6 months of age
