There were 20 great rings made in total in the Lord of the Rings universe. These include:
- Three rings for the Elves
- Seven rings for the Dwarves
- Nine rings for Men
- One additional One Ring made by Sauron to rule them all
So, 19 rings were made for the leaders of Middle-earth races, plus the One Ring which was made separately by Sauron as the most powerful ring.
