The Freedom Trail is 2.5 miles (4.0 kilometers) long. It is a marked path through Boston that leads visitors to 16 historically significant sites important to United States history. The trail typically starts at Boston Common and ends at either the Bunker Hill Monument or the USS Constitution Museum, depending on the route taken. Walking the entire trail without stopping usually takes about 90 minutes, but visiting the sites along the way can take much longer, often a full day or more if exploring inside the locations.
