The AP Environmental Science exam is 2 hours and 40 minutes long in total. It is divided into two sections:
- Multiple-Choice Section: 80 questions, 90 minutes (1 hour 30 minutes), which accounts for 60% of the overall score.
- Free-Response Section: 3 questions, 70 minutes (1 hour 10 minutes), which accounts for 40% of the overall score.
