Powerball ticket sales in Florida stop at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time on drawing nights (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday).
Florida Powerball cutoff
On Powerball drawing days in Florida, tickets can be purchased up until 10:00 p.m. ET for that night’s drawing. The drawing itself takes place at 10:59 p.m. ET, but there is a brief sales break starting at 10:00 p.m., and any tickets sold after a few minutes past 10:00 p.m. apply to the next drawing instead.
If you are near Florida’s small Central Time Zone area in the Panhandle, this effectively means a 9:00 p.m. CT cutoff, since Florida’s listed times are all in Eastern Time. Retailers and the lottery recommend buying earlier than the deadline in case of lines or system delays.
