To unblock someone on Facebook, you can do it either via the Facebook mobile app or on the Facebook website. Here are the steps for both methods:
On the Facebook Mobile App (iPhone or Android)
- Open the Facebook app on your device.
- Tap the menu icon (three horizontal lines). On iPhone, it's usually at the bottom right; on Android, at the top right.
- Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy, then tap Settings.
- Scroll to the Privacy section and tap Blocking.
- You will see a list of people you have blocked. Find the person you want to unblock.
- Tap Unblock next to their name.
- Confirm by tapping Unblock again in the pop-up window.
On the Facebook Website (Desktop)
- Go to Facebook.com and log in.
- Click the down-arrow icon in the top-right corner to open the menu.
- Select Settings & Privacy, then click Settings.
- In the left sidebar, click Blocking.
- Under the Block Users section, you will see the list of blocked people.
- Find the person you want to unblock and click Unblock next to their name.
- Confirm by clicking Confirm or Continue in the pop-up.
Note: After unblocking someone, they will be able to see your profile, send you friend requests, and message you again. If you change your mind, you must wait 48 hours before you can block that person again
. This process also applies to unblocking someone on Facebook Messenger through the Messenger app by accessing your profile settings and managing blocked contacts
