To cancel your Amazon Prime membership, you can follow these steps either on a web browser or through the Amazon mobile app:
On a Web Browser
- Sign in to your Amazon account on the Amazon website.
- Hover over Account & Lists at the top-right corner and click Prime Membership from the drop-down menu.
- On the Prime membership page, click Manage Membership.
- Select Update, cancel, and more , then click End membership.
- Click Cancel My Benefits on the next page.
- Confirm your cancellation by clicking Continue to Cancel and then Cancel Membership through the subsequent prompts.
Amazon may offer options to pause your membership instead of canceling, but if you want to fully cancel, proceed through all confirmation steps until the membership is ended
On the Amazon Mobile App
- Open the Amazon Shopping app and log in.
- Tap the profile icon at the bottom menu.
- Go to Your Account.
- Scroll down and tap Memberships & subscriptions.
- Tap Prime Membership Settings.
- Tap Manage membership.
- Tap Manage Membership - Update, cancel, and more.
- Tap End membership.
- Scroll down and tap Cancel My Benefits.
- Tap Continue to Cancel and confirm to end your membership
Additional Notes
- If you have a Prime Video-only subscription, you can cancel it separately by going to Account & Settings > Your Account and selecting End Subscription for Prime Video
- You may be eligible for a full or partial refund if you cancel early in your membership period and have not used Prime benefits
- Canceling Prime will also stop any additional subscriptions tied to your Prime membership from renewing
