Diogo Jota died in a car crash in Spain on July 3, 2025. The accident occurred when the Lamborghini he was traveling in with his brother André Silva had a tyre blowout while overtaking another vehicle on the A-52 motorway near Zamora. The car then veered off the road and caught fire. Both Jota, aged 28, and his brother, aged 25, died at the scene. Investigations indicated the car was likely speeding at the time of the crash.
