Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was discovered as a teenager in Barbados by American record producer Evan Rogers during a local audition in the winter of 2003. Rogers, who was vacationing in Barbados with his wife at the time, came across Rihanna after a friend suggested she might be talented; impressed by her presence and voice, he agreed to work with her and later helped bring her to the United States for further development. This breakthrough led to her signing with a management and record-creating team and ultimately to her successful music career.
