When clicked, the Start button opens the Start menu. The Start button is generally located at the bottom-left corner of the screen on most versions of Windows or in the center on Windows 11 (but can be moved back to the lower left corner). Clicking this button with a mouse is the standard way to open the Start menu. Alternatively, pressing the Windows key on the keyboard also opens the Start menu.
