Puerto Rico does not have a president of its own. The political head of Puerto Rico's government is the Governor, who is currently Jenniffer González-Colón as of January 2025. However, Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory of the United States, so the President of the United States—currently Donald Trump since January 2025—is also the head of state for Puerto Rico. Thus, the "President of Puerto Rico" is the U.S. President, while the local government is headed by the Governor elected by Puerto Ricans.
