Christopher "Big Black" Boykin died from a heart attack on May 9, 2017, at the age of 45. He had been suffering from congenital heart failure for a long time and had a defibrillator implanted in his chest for over 10 years to manage his condition. Despite taking many precautions, including regular doctor visits and significant lifestyle changes, his heart condition ultimately led to his death. He passed away in Plano, Texas, after being hospitalized for a heart attack. His ex-wife mentioned that his heart condition was severe, and he had been warned by doctors that he might need a heart transplant. Boykin is survived by his nine-year-old daughter, Isis Rae Boykin.
